Every July, La Vila Joiosa becomes a unique stage where history and devotion come to life along the Mediterranean. The Fiesta de Santa Marta, declared of international tourist interest, relives the Moorish landing with real boats, embassies and spectacular gunpowder displays over the sea. The Moors and Christians groups parade through the streets, while devotion to Saint Martha is expressed in every corner. An explosion of tradition mixing history, sea, fire and emotion.
