Monte Toix Viewpoint: The Secret Balcony of the Costa Blanca

At the top of Morro de Toix, an extension of the Sierra de Bernia that plunges into the Mediterranean, is one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the province of Alicante: the Monte Toix Viewpoint. This natural enclave separates the bays of Calpe and Altea, and offers a panoramic view that looks like a postcard.
A Viewpoint between Cliffs
From its 300 metres altitude, the viewpoint offers views of the Penon de Ifach, Moraira bay, Montgo, and on clear days even the island of Ibiza. Looking south, you can see the Marina Greenwich Port, the city of Altea and the skyscrapers of Benidorm.
How to Get There
The route starts at the Maryvilla Urbanisation in Calpe. The road is closed to traffic by a chain, but you can continue on foot along a well-marked path.
Distance: 1.4 km (round trip)
Estimated time: 20 minutes
Difficulty: easy, although with an initial steep slope
