Barranc de l'Infern: The Cathedral of Hiking in La Vall de Laguar

Just 30 minutes by car from Benidorm, in the heart of Marina Alta, lies one of the most impressive hiking treasures in the province of Alicante: the Barranc de l'Infern, also known as the Ravine of Hell or the "Cathedral of Hiking".
This circular route of about 14.5 kilometers follows the old bed of the Girona River, crossing the deep ravine that the Moors carved with thousands of stone steps. This is no ordinary route: you will climb and descend more than 6,800 steps carved into the rock, with a cumulative elevation gain of 800 meters.

📌 How to get there from Benidorm
Take the AP-7 toward Valencia, exit 62 toward Benissa. Continue on CV-715 to Castell de Castells and turn off to La Vall de Laguar. Journey: 30-40 minutes.
