Puig Campana: The Magical Mountain of Finestrat

Imposing, majestic and full of legends. The Puig Campana, at 1,408 meters above sea level, is the second highest peak in the province of Alicante and the mountainous emblem of Finestrat. Its characteristic jagged silhouette, with the famous "notch" in its ridge, dominates the horizon of the Costa Blanca.
Legend has it that the giant Roldán, in a fit of fury, struck the mountain with a huge sword blow, tearing off a piece that fell into the sea, forming the Island of Benidorm.
